What gets listed

The catalog only lists products from independent developers, small teams and open-source projects. Products from big tech and leading companies aren't in scope for suggestions. A product needs real public traction and a website that works. Open source isn't required, and there are no fees and no fast track.

From suggestion to product page

  1. Suggest

Send a website or public repository. One a day.

  2. Review

We check public traction and whether the site works. Nothing shows on the site until it's listed.

  3. Listed

Once it qualifies, it's listed automatically with its own product page.

  4. Claim

The maker verifies the website or repository and takes over the product page.

Questions

Is my suggestion public right away?

No. A product only appears on the site once it meets the criteria.

Can I suggest my own product?

Yes, the rules are the same. Once it's listed, claim it to manage it as the maker.

Does it have to be open source?

No. Closed-source products can qualify through npm, App Store or Hacker News, and commit frequency doesn't matter. The catalog is only for independent developers, small teams and open source; products from big tech and from heavily funded or already mass-market leading companies go to the reference profiles by default and are not listed.

What if it doesn't qualify yet?

If it meets the criteria while in review, it gets listed. If not, you can suggest it again after 90 days.
