NVIDIA details 6G research applications of its open-source Aerial and Sionna tools
NVIDIA published a roundup of research using open-source Aerial and Sionna tools for robot communications, neural receivers, base-station energy management and network simulation. Examples include compact object-and-relationship descriptions at King’s College London, a neural receiver integrated into Aerial CUDA-Accelerated RAN by SoftBank, and demand-guided base-station sleep decisions at the University of Leeds. CTTC is integrating GPU-accelerated radio channel models into the open-source 5G-LENA simulator. Aerial wireless software was open-sourced a year earlier; this article is not its initial release.
Why it matters
The examples show concrete uses of existing open wireless tools across communications, reception, energy management and simulation.
