Build plugins with anywidget!
marimo is adopting anywidget as the plugin API for third-party widgets, so its community can build niche components without adding them to the core library. The notebook already renders anywidgets natively alongside more than 20 built-in widgets, and the team plans to drop the mo.ui.anywidget wrapper requirement while helping the anywidget project design and test new APIs.
marimo ships with native support for rendering anywidgets.
