Ollama v0.40.2 fixes ollama list showing duplicate entries for upgraded models, and ollama launch claude now uses the model's full context length. Models downloaded with earlier versions are upgraded in the background the first time they run, with the original copy kept on disk as a backup that a future release will remove automatically, and downgrading to a version older than 0.40 requires re-pulling those models.
