Ollama launched a web search API, offered as a REST endpoint with deeper integration in its Python and JavaScript libraries, to supplement models with current web information and reduce hallucinations. Individuals get a free allowance, higher rate limits come with an Ollama subscription upgrade, and a new web fetch API retrieves the content of a single page. Ollama recommends raising model context to about 32000 tokens and shows a small search agent built on the 4B-parameter Qwen 3.
