Cap v0.5.9 lets the CLI authenticate with an API key through the CAP_API_KEY environment variable without a browser login, so it can run in CI, on remote servers and in headless environments, and adds a safety check against accidentally recording without a microphone. The release fixes memory growth while idle on macOS and recordings that failed to open, makes instant recordings lighter, and extends disk-space protection to every recording mode.
Camera recordings survive encoder errors - If the camera encoder hits an error mid-recording, the camera file is now finalized up to that point instead of being left unreadable.
