Marimo is Joining CoreWeave

The team behind marimo, an open-source Python notebook, is joining CoreWeave, and says marimo will stay free, open source and permissively licensed while CoreWeave's resources help scale the hosted molab notebook with GPU-accelerated compute. Founder Akshay Agrawal notes that marimo launched publicly in January 2024 and now has more than 1M monthly downloads, 16.6k GitHub stars and nearly 200 contributors, with the team growing from two people to eight.

marimo is, and always will be, free, open-source, and permissively licensed.
