July 2026 - React Aria
In its July 2026 update, shadcn/ui makes React Aria a first-class component base next to Base UI and Radix, selectable in shadcn/create or via the --base aria flag when initializing a project. The React Aria components come with full documentation and all eight styles, with their dependencies scoped to the Aria registry, while Base UI stays the default, Radix remains fully supported and existing projects keep their current base.
React Aria is now a first-class component base in shadcn/ui.
