Your OpenBot Agents Forget Between Threads. Give Them Shared Memory.
OpenBot can run a team of AI teammates locally, but its default memory still lives inside one thread and one agent, so compaction and new threads drop early project rules. Connecting an agent to a Hindsight memory bank over MCP lets that memory outlive the thread, survive compaction and restarts, and stay shared with every teammate pointed at the same bank.
Setup is one URL MCP server plus a header, unlocking recall, retain, sync_retain, reflect, and mental-model plus document tools on Hindsight Cloud or a self-hosted server. The post contrasts OpenBot's smaller per-agent memory with a shared bank that cuts repeated briefings.
