ERNIE-5.1-Preview Tops LMArena Text Leaderboard as No.1 Chinese Model!
Baidu says ERNIE-5.1-Preview ranked first among Chinese models and 13th overall on LMArena's latest text leaderboard, and first globally in the Legal and Government category. According to Baidu, the model builds on ERNIE 5.0's pre-training while cutting total parameters to about a third and active parameters to about half, at roughly 6 percent of the pre-training cost of comparable models.
ERNIE-5.1-Preview builds on the pre-training foundation of ERNIE-5.0 while compressing total parameters to approximately 1/3 and active parameters to approximately 1/2, achieving leading performance at its model scale using only about 6% of the pre-training cost of comparable models.
