Claude Desktop support with Ollama
Ollama can now act as a third-party gateway for Claude Desktop, and turning Claude on inside Ollama configures the gateway automatically. Once connected, users can pick any Ollama model in Claude, local or cloud, and switching the toggle off restores their previous setup. Ollama says telemetry is off by default and that a zero data retention policy covers all its models and services.
While connected, you can choose to use any model within Ollama, both local and on Ollama’s cloud. Turn Claude off in Ollama to restore to your previous setup.
