Zed v1.25.2 shrinks its binaries by roughly 33% on macOS, 28% on Windows and 7% on Linux, adds GPT-6 Astra, Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Opus 5.5 to the Amazon Bedrock provider, and gives external agents connected over ACP session notices and context compaction. Double-clicking an inlay hint now applies its text edit, and SSH remote connections detect the remote shell, platform and OS version with a single command, which shortens connection time. The release fixes environment variables, secrets included, passed to external agents and MCP servers in remote projects showing up in the local process list, along with many other issues such as Gemini models erroring after a tool call returned an image.
Added an "Open SVG Preview" option to the Project Panel's context menu for SVG files.
