shadcn/ui 4.18.0 merges the registries declared in package.json and components.json, and registries can be added to package.json even when components.json is absent. The add, search, view and init commands resolve package.json registries in memory without saving them to components.json. File scans and monorepo target resolution now skip directories that cannot be read instead of stopping with EACCES.
