GitHub Agentic Workflows, an open-source project from GitHub Next, is now generally available
GitHub said on Oct 28 that GitHub Agentic Workflows, an open-source project from GitHub Next, is generally available on Free, Team and Enterprise. Developers describe tasks like issue triage, CI failure analysis and test writing in Markdown, which compiles to standard Actions YAML run by Copilot or another coding agent. GA adds self-hosted ARC runners, model routing and micro-VM isolation.
Why it matters
Agents run read-only by default inside a sandboxed container behind a firewall, and their outputs pass validation and threat detection, fitting coding agents into existing CI permissions and policies.
