Firefox Smart Window adds AI form filling from open tabs and web page watching, rolling out to US and Canada desktop beta
Mozilla said on October 27 that Smart Window, Firefox's opt-in AI browsing mode, can now suggest form entries from tabs the user picks; users review them and it never submits. Selected page content goes to Google's Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite. A /watch command checks chosen pages daily or weekly for changes while Firefox is open. Both roll out first to the desktop beta in the US and Canada.
Why it matters
Browser makers are building agent-like features into everyday tasks; Mozilla pitches user-chosen sources, review before filling and no auto-submit, but selected page content still goes to a third-party model.
