On Oct 29, at its Global Digital Ecosystem Summit, Tencent launched Buddy One, which uses its WorkBuddy agent as a workspace and links Tencent Docs, Tencent Meeting, ima and a new Tencent cloud drive under one account and credit pool. WorkBuddy can then search authorized documents, meetings and knowledge bases across apps and answer with cited sources. A Buddy One VIP plan costs RMB 700 a month.
Why it matters
Tencent is consolidating several office products behind a single AI agent entry point, a direction similar to Microsoft's Copilot and Google's Gemini integrations in their office suites.
