World Labs releases Frameboy, a real-time Atlas world-model demo in the browser
On November 5, World Labs opened a research preview called Frameboy. In a browser, you steer a virtual camera through scenes from its Atlas autoregressive world model while cloud GPUs stream frames at up to 15 fps. Atlas, introduced two months earlier, can invent novel viewpoints from a single image or a few multi-view photos. The same real-time path is also wired into Viewfinder, a closed-beta app where you build a scene frame by frame and then explore it live. World Labs notes Frameboy still needs powerful cloud GPUs and costs more than local rendering.
Why it matters
World models move from offline clips to interactive streaming you can try in a browser, not just paper stills.
