T3 Code

An open-source control plane that runs Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other coding agents from one interface on existing subscriptions; MIT-licensedOpen source

About T3 Code

T3 Code is an open-source control surface for coding agents: one interface drives Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Grok Build, OpenCode and Google Antigravity as already set up on the machine, across desktop, web, iOS and Android. It is MIT-licensed, copyright T3 Tools Inc.; the terms say no T3 Tools subscription fee applies at present, and providers bill model use. The privacy policy says anonymous usage data is sent out of the box, with an environment variable to turn it off. As of 2026-10-26 the latest stable release is v0.1.2, published on GitHub 2026-10-23 04:44 (UTC+8).

What problem it solves

The README calls T3 Code an agent harness control surface: it ships no model or agent of its own and instead drives the coding agents already configured on the machine. The homepage headline reads The open-source control plane for coding agents., and the page says T3 Code does not resell tokens and runs on existing subscriptions.

Supported agents. The README lists Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Grok Build, OpenCode and Google Antigravity, with at least one set up and signed in before first use.

Form factors. An Electron desktop app, a hosted web app at app.t3.codes, iOS and Android apps, and the t3 command line, which starts a local server and opens the local web interface. The terms add an optional T3 Connect service for linking devices and environments.

The repository was created 2026-02-09 07:46 (UTC+8). Stable releases: v0.1.0 on 2026-10-16 07:18 (UTC+8), v0.1.1 on 2026-10-21 10:29 (UTC+8) and v0.1.2 on 2026-10-23 04:44 (UTC+8), plus daily nightly prereleases.

Publisher: T3 Tools, Inc. The LICENSE copyright holder is written T3 Tools Inc., and the terms and privacy policy name T3 Tools, Inc.

Core capabilities

One surface for many agents. The homepage says models can be switched mid-thread and states No keys resold. No quota caps.

Branches and pull requests. The homepage says each agent thread writes to its own branch, and one button commits, pushes and opens a pull request with a generated title, body and changelog, with draft and stacked pull requests and existing GitHub auth.

Devices. The README docs cover access from a phone or another machine, running as a background service, permission modes, multiple accounts and connecting outside agents over MCP. The privacy policy says the mobile app uses the camera to scan a pairing QR code, with frames processed on the device.

Data flow. The terms say user content is ordinarily processed in the environment the user controls and by the providers the user selects, not by T3 Tools, unless a T3 Tools-operated feature that transmits content is enabled. The privacy policy says personal information, source code, prompts and agent responses are not used to train AI models.

Who uses it

As of 2026-10-26 the GitHub API shows 30,091 stars and 8,071 forks; its open_issues_count (which includes open issues and PRs) is 3,365. The homepage says 24k+ GitHub stars (as reported by the vendor).

The homepage says Tolerated by over 500,000 devs (as reported by the vendor).

The README says the project is very early and mostly not accepting contributions: small fixes may be accepted, big features will not.

Issue 4123 on telemetry opened 2026-07-18 22:56 (UTC+8) and as of 2026-10-26 remains open with 7 comments and 20 reactions.

How it compares

Against Conductor: the README names the Codex desktop app, Conductor, Claude Desktop and Cursor Glass as inspirations. Conductor's terms describe its platform as Conductor's proprietary hosted AI automation software platform; T3 Code is MIT.

Against Orca: Orca is also MIT, and its GitHub description presents it as a place for working with a fleet of coding agents on their existing subscriptions across desktop, mobile and a remote runtime.

Against OpenCode: OpenCode is MIT and describes itself as The open source coding agent.; it is an agent in its own right, while T3 Code ships no agent and drives OpenCode as one of its providers.

Who it's for / Not for

Good fit:

  • Developers already paying for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar who manage several agent threads from one interface on desktop and phone.
  • Teams that need an MIT licence with the freedom to fork, modify and redistribute.

Not a fit:

  • Environments that do not accept usage data sent out of the box: the telemetry flag in the code is true out of the box, turning it off takes an environment variable.
  • Work that needs a stable product: the README says Expect bugs., and the Beta Services clause in the terms says some features may be incomplete, change without notice or lose data.
  • Contributors planning large features for the main repository: the README says big features will not be accepted.
  • Machines with no signed-in coding agent.

Getting started

Prerequisites. The README asks for at least one provider set up and signed in: codex login for Codex, claude auth login for Claude Code, agent login for the Cursor CLI, grok login for Grok Build, opencode auth login for OpenCode; Antigravity is enabled in Settings with a Google sign-in and needs no CLI.

Command line. On macOS and Linux the command is curl -fsSL https://t3.codes/install.sh | sh, and on Windows PowerShell it is irm https://t3.codes/install.ps1 | iex. After that, t3 starts the server and opens the local web interface; t3 service install keeps it running in the background and t3 update upgrades it. A one-off trial runs with npx t3@latest.

Desktop and mobile. The download page offers macOS builds for Apple Silicon and Intel, an exe for Windows 10 and 11, deb and AppImage for Linux on x86_64 and arm64, and App Store and Google Play listings. The README also lists winget, scoop, Homebrew and AUR packages. The nightly channel is selected with T3CODE_CHANNEL=nightly.

Turning telemetry off. The privacy policy says to set T3CODE_TELEMETRY_ENABLED=false in the environment T3 Code runs in and restart it.

Pricing & license

Software: MIT, free. The homepage says T3 Code is free, open source and fast.

Service fees: the terms say T3 Code is currently offered without a T3 Tools subscription fee unless a feature states otherwise, and any paid feature will show its price and payment terms before purchase. Charges from coding-agent providers, cloud infrastructure, network operators and app stores fall on the user. The homepage says T3 Code does not resell tokens.

Licence relationship: the terms say the open-source portions are governed by the licence in the relevant repository, which controls over the terms for that software; the terms govern the hosted services. The LICENSE is MIT, with the line Copyright (c) 2026 T3 Tools Inc.

Risks & limits

Telemetry on out of the box. The privacy policy effective 2026-10-06 says T3 Code sends anonymous usage data out of the box, such as which provider and model a turn used, whether it succeeded, and the app version and operating system. In the code, T3CODE_TELEMETRY_ENABLED is true out of the box, data goes to ingest.t3.codes, and a code comment says that service retains events and forwards them to PostHog.

Changed promise. The 2026-05-14 archived homepage read No telemetry, with a subtitle saying data is sent only after an opt-in. Commit 3bdaa6e on 2026-06-18 14:23 (UTC+8) removed both lines from the homepage. Issue 4123 says telemetry has been on out of the box since March 5 and asks for an in-app switch and explicit consent.

Early stage. The README says We are very very early in this project. Expect bugs. The terms class alpha, beta and preview features as Beta Services that may lose data.

Third-party processors. The privacy policy lists Clerk, Cloudflare, PlanetScale, Vercel, PostHog, Axiom, Expo, Apple and Google; operational diagnostic traces expire after 30 days. Security reports go to security@ping.gg.

Our verdict

What sets T3 Code apart: it drives several coding agents from one interface on desktop and phone, using their existing subscriptions; it is MIT-licensed; each thread writes to its own branch, and one button commits, pushes and opens a pull request.

Its limits: usage data is sent out of the box, turning it off takes an environment variable, and the homepage's earlier No telemetry line was removed on 2026-06-18; the README says the project is very early, and the terms class some features as Beta Services that may lose data.
