Announcing the Open Source Release of the ERNIE 4.5 Model Family
Baidu open-sourced the ERNIE 4.5 family of multimodal models, ten variants spanning mixture-of-experts models with 47B and 3B active parameters, the largest at 424B total, plus a 0.3B dense model, all under the commercially usable Apache 2.0 license. Baidu says the 300B-A47B base model beats DeepSeek-V3-671B-A37B-Base on 22 of 28 benchmarks. The models were trained on PaddlePaddle, also ship in PyTorch-compatible formats, and come with the ERNIEKit fine-tuning and FastDeploy serving toolkits.
