Baidu says ERNIE-5.0-Preview-1103 entered the top 20 of LMArena's Text Arena, scoring 1471 in Software and IT Services, on par with GPT 5.1-high, and 1464 in Coding. Baidu describes ERNIE 5.0 as a natively omni-modal foundation model that jointly learns text, images, audio and video from the start of training, with over 2 trillion parameters, an ultra-sparse mixture-of-experts design activating under 3 percent of them, and added training for long-horizon agent tasks.
ERNIE-5.0-Preview-1103 holds the top 20 in the most competitive Arena.
