Cline Desktop v0.0.33 can start a task in its own git worktree: with Worktree selected, the first prompt of a new thread cuts a fresh cline/ branch off the current one, creates a worktree under ~/.cline/worktrees/ and runs the task there, leaving your working tree untouched, and deleting the task also deletes that worktree and branch along with anything not yet committed. Long sessions in the desktop app now compact automatically, which had never actually worked before, and on Windows launching Cline again brings the existing window to the front instead of starting a second copy.
Deleting the task removes its worktree and branch (discarding uncommitted changes in it), unless another session still lives there.
