Obsidian October 2026
Obsidian October, the annual push for the community to finish and share plugins, themes, vaults, guides and videos, is back, and this year the team is also running its first State of Obsidian survey. The plugin and theme catalog has grown past 8,000 entries, more than twice its size before the Community site debuted in May. Because the app gathers no personal data and plugins may not include telemetry, Obsidian is using the survey to learn how people use it and plans to publish a report by year end.
In May, we launched the new Obsidian Community , and since then the number of plugins and themes has more than doubled to over 8,000 projects!
