Introducing Zed for Education
Zed introduced a Student plan giving currently enrolled university students worldwide a free year of Zed Pro, including 10 US dollars a month in AI token credits, unlimited edit predictions and real-time collaboration. Once credits run out, students can bring their own API keys or external agents, and Zed points to free student offers from Gemini, OpenRouter and GitHub Copilot. The company is also launching a Campus Ambassadors program, with applications at zed.dev/education.
