Choose Your Edit Prediction Provider

Zed now supports multiple edit prediction providers, letting users switch among Zeta, Mercury Coder, Sweep, Ollama, Codestral and GitHub Copilot's Next Edit Suggestions. A pluggable provider architecture makes new integrations easier and open to outside pull requests, while Zed's own Zeta stays the default and Zeta2 is due in a few weeks. Mercury Coder generates output in parallel with a diffusion design, Sweep trains with online reinforcement learning, and Ollama runs open-weight models locally.
