Terminal Threads Are Live in Zed
Zed's Agent Panel can now host terminals as threads, so tools like claude, amp or codex run as managed entries in the sidebar alongside other agent threads, with titles that update to match what is running. Zed says this brings tools without ACP support into parallel workflows, and notes that after Anthropic's announced billing change, running Claude Code through ACP could cost heavy users 15 to 30 times more, whereas running it in a terminal keeps subscription limits. The company says its investment in ACP continues.
Terminal Threads bring those sessions into the same sidebar where Zed already tracks agent work.
