Cherry Studio v2.0.8 is a security-heavy release: archive extraction now has zip-slip containment, legacy IPC senders are gated, files with unsafe extensions are guarded before opening, and four bypass gaps in existing guards around scheme checks, staging residue and trace permissions are closed. New features include interactive screenshots with annotation and OCR, layout-preserving PDF translation via BabelDOC, and MCP prompts and resources surfaced in the composer and to the model.
