Krea publishes the Krea 3 technical report, detailing how its image editing model was trained and sped up

Image generation company Krea has published a technical report on Krea 3, the image editing model it launched in October. Krea 3 can change only the requested part of a picture while keeping people and products consistent, and it can combine up to 8 reference images in one edit. The report covers the model design, how it was trained directly at 2K resolution, how editing data was collected and labelled, and a reinforcement learning setup that picks the scoring criteria for each image. Krea self-reports that Krea 3 Fast finishes a 2K edit in about 8 seconds on average.

Why it matters

Commercial image editing models rarely disclose how they are trained, so this report gives teams building image models a complete method to learn from.
