I’m joining Obsidian full-time as CEO
The creator of the Minimal theme, who has used and built for Obsidian since 2020, announced he is joining the company full-time as CEO, freeing founders Silver and Licat to focus on product and community. He pledged that Obsidian will stay free, built on open file formats, private and offline-first with end-to-end encryption, and extensible through its API and plugins, adding that the company is entirely user-funded with no investors.
Above all, Obsidian is 100% user-supported. There are no investors pushing us to compromise on these values.
