Second audit of Obsidian apps completed by Cure53
Obsidian asked Cure53 to run a second penetration test and source code audit of its apps on every platform, with special focus on hardening the upcoming Web viewer plugin. The audit wrapped up in October 2024 with six vulnerabilities, mostly in unreleased Web viewer builds and none new in public versions, and the fixes shipped in Obsidian 1.8.0 after Cure53 confirmed its recommendations were followed.
No new vulnerabilities were found in public versions of Obsidian.
