Goodbye legacy editor
Obsidian plans to drop the legacy editor in v1.5 and remove CodeMirror 5 entirely, so plugin authors can count on CodeMirror 6 for users on newer releases. The rewritten editor has been the default since v0.13, with the old one kept only for compatibility with early community plugins, and Obsidian says most people will notice no difference while the change eases future editing work, with source mode staying available.
In the upcoming Obsidian v1.5, the legacy editor will be removed from the app.
