Investor Update – April 2026
In its April investor update, Val Town says a hands-on, founder-led push for its 200-dollar-a-month Teams plan closed only 4 deals against a goal of 14, and revenue grew 8 percent versus a 20 percent target. The company concludes it spent too much time explaining the product in one-off conversations and too little on use cases, templates and stories that compound. For May it aims to grow monthly recurring revenue 20 percent by betting on Claude Code plus the Val Town MCP server, with a team of five and an infrastructure engineer role open.
Our goal for May is to grow MRR 20% – and we're open minded about if this growth comes from 150 Pro vs 15 Teams subscriptions.
